PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleansing composition in which: a fresh-looking and refreshing feeling of use, and excellent stability are provided even though having a high makeup removal ability to remove heavy make-up stains； and viscosity suitable for usability of cleansing, a good touch feeling of the skin with little stickiness is satisfactorily provided with respect to feeling of use after cleaning.SOLUTION: A cleansing composition contains following components (A)-(D): (A) 0.5-12 mass% of fatty acid alkanolamide； (B) 0.8-2.5 mass% of nonionic cellulose derivative； (C) 3.0-20 mass% of alcohol having monovalent-hexavalent hydroxy groups and 1-8 carbon atoms； (D) an anionic surfactant, wherein the mass content ratio of the component (A) and the component (D) is 1:0.025-1:10.【課題】ハードなメイク汚れも落とせる高いメイク除去能を持ちながらも、みずみずしくさっぱりとした使用感を有し、安定性に優れたクレンジング組成物を提供すること。さらには、クレンジング時の使用性に適した粘性を有し、洗浄後の使用感では、べたつきの少ない良好な肌の感触をも満足するクレンジング組成物を提供すること。【解決手段】成分（Ａ）～（Ｄ）：（Ａ）脂肪酸アルカノールアミド ０．５～１２質量％（Ｂ）ノニオン性セルロース誘導体 ０．８～２．５質量％（Ｃ）水酸基を１～６価有する炭素数１～８のアルコール ３．０～２０質量％（Ｄ）アニオン性界面活性剤を含有し、成分（Ａ）と成分（Ｄ）の含有質量比が１：０．０２５～１：１０であるクレンジング組成物【選択図】なし
