PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture assisting device for fixing a tail portion of a laboratory animal belonging to a rodent order to puncture an outer tail vein of the tail portion. SOLUTION: A tail fixing block having a V-shaped groove on its surface exposing both a front end section and a rear end section, and a syringe on which a syringe is placed and an injection needle is installed along a V-shaped opening of the V-shaped groove. A syringe holding block provided with a slide groove on the surface for sliding the syringe so that the syringe can be moved from the rear end section is fixed on the base, and the tail fixing block is a V-shaped groove of the rear end section. It has an inclined surface extending from the vicinity of the bottom toward the base in the direction of the syringe holding block, and the syringe holding block adjusts the distance from the base of the slide groove to adjust the distance between the injection needle and the opening of the V-shaped groove. It is characterized by having a height adjustment mechanism that enables it.
