PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring subcutaneous fat thickness for the purpose of quantitatively measuring the subcutaneous fat thickness, which facilitates instantaneous measurement of the subcutaneous fat thickness for subjects of wide variety of body types.SOLUTION: The device for measuring subcutaneous fat thickness has a pressing portion, and the pressing portion presses against a body surface, and sequentially measures and records an abdominal force on the body surface pushing back the pressing portion and a distance of the pressing portion pushed into the body surface. When the abdominal force on the body surface reaches a fixed value or the pushed distance reaches a fixed value, the measurement is finished, the subcutaneous fat thickness is automatically calculated based on a relationship between the registered abdominal force and pushed distance, and the result of the calculation is quickly output on a display device of the device for measuring the subcutaneous fat thickness. A calculating formula for calculating the subcutaneous fat thickness is derived based on statistics obtained from clinical experiments on 16 subjects.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】皮下脂肪厚の定量的計測を目的とし、幅広い体型の被験者に対して簡易で瞬時に皮下脂肪厚の計測を行う皮下脂肪厚計測装置を提供する。【解決手段】体表面に対して、皮下脂肪厚計測装置が有する押圧部で押圧することにより、体表面が押圧部を押し返す腹力と、押圧部が体表面に押入した距離を逐次計測、記録する。体表面からの腹力が一定の値に到達した時、あるいは押入した距離が一定の値に達した時に計測を終了し、記録した腹力と押入距離の関係から自動的に皮下脂肪厚を算出し、即座に皮下脂肪厚計測装置の表示装置に結果を出力することができる。なお、皮下脂肪厚を算出する計算式は16名の被験者による臨床実験から得られた統計的根拠に基づいている。【選択図】図1
