A neural probe array, for collecting the reaction signal of a nerve by applying an optical stimulus to the nerve of a testee, includes a probe inserted into the testee and an optical waveguide which is attached to the upper end of the probe and guides light through the inner part. The optical waveguide is directly attached to the probe without interposing a cladding layer. Since the reflective index of the probe is smaller than that of the optical waveguide, the total reflection of light entering the optical waveguide is induced by the probe body so that the light is guided to the inner part of the optical waveguide.피실험체의 신경에 광자극을 가하여 상기 신경의 반응 신호를 수집하기 위한 신경 탐침 구조체는, 상기 피실험체 내부에 삽입되는 탐침과, 상기 탐침의 상단에 부착되고 그 내부를 통해 빛이 도파될 수 있는 광도파로를 포함하고, 상기 광도파로는 클래딩층을 개재하지 않고 상기 탐침에 직접 부착되고, 상기 탐침의 굴절율은 상기 광도파로의 굴절율 보다 작아서, 상기 광도파로로 유입된 빛이 상기 탐침 몸체에 의해 전반사를 일으켜 상기 광도파로의 내부를 통해 도파되도록 한다.
