The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an active energy ray-curable composition which is capable of providing a cured coating film that has excellent adhesion to a base and excellent solvent resistance; a metal base having a cured film that is obtained by curing the composition; and a method for producing the metal base having a cured film. An active energy ray-curable composition of the present invention is characterized by containing: (component A) 10-70% by weight of an epoxy (meth)acrylate; (component B) 3-40% by weight of a compound that is other than the component A and has two or more ethylenically unsaturated groups; (component C) 27-75% by weight of a compound that has an aromatic group and one ethylenically unsaturated group; and (component D) 0-30% by weight of an ethylenically unsaturated compound other than the components A-C. In this connection, the above-mentioned content ratios are based on 100% by weight of the total of the components A-D that are curable components.
