The present disclosure provides a method of selecting a treatment composition or therapy for the treatment of cancer (eg, prostate or breast cancer) in a patient. The treatment composition includes administering a combination of at least two components selected from an immune cell activator (eg, GM-CSF) and an antigen presentation promoter (eg, ketoconazole). Along with a method for monitoring the effectiveness of a treatment composition during a treatment period, a method for treating a patient with a selected treatment composition is also provided.
