Mosquito attractant compositions including lactic acid, a gelling agent, a humectant other than lactic acid, and water are disclosed. The gelling agent includes a gellan gum or agar and has a pH from about 2.5 to about 5. The mosquito attractant compositions attract mosquitoes when exposed to air for a period of at least 7 days. Methods of using and forming the mosquito attractant compositions as well as insect attractant devices are also disclosed.L'invention concerne des compositions attirant les moustiques, comprenant de l'acide lactique, un gélifiant, un humectant autre que l'acide lactique, et de l'eau.
