Various embodiments of the imaging device may implement optical coherence tomography (OCT) and/or optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) tissue imaging techniques (with the ability to perform tissue ablation simultaneously). In addition, the imaging device may include an imaging element that is rotatable to scan the lumen of the body (eg, the bile duct). The imaging element may be contained within a cylindrical window. Still further, the imaging device may include an auxiliary channel. Auxiliary channels may provide access to bile duct or other bodily lumenal tissue.
