The present invention concerns a breakable multi-specimen storage vessel. Thevessel comprises a tubular container(2) comprising a lower end (2A) and an upper end (2B). At least said upper end(2B) has an open end opening (2C). The lengthof said container (2) is continuously formed and provided with break portions(4A, 4B) at predetermined positions alongsidethereof. Said container (2) is adapted to be broken into a plurality ofspecimens. Further, an external surface of said container (2)may be provided with a screw thread (5). Said screw thread (5) is providedextending longitudinally along substantially the entirelength of said tubular container (2) and said internal surface issubstantially smooth. The invention further relates to a break tool(6) for breaking off specimens from a multi-specimen storage vessel such as astorage vessel according to the invention.
