1. A method of producing asiaticoside of at least 99% purity, comprising the acts of: a) treating the ground material of the source of asiaticoside with a first solvent; b) extracting the processed ground material with a second solvent to obtain an extract or filtrate; c) distilling and dissolving the extract or filtrate into a third solvent to obtain a solution; d) passing the solution through an adsorbent and eluting with an alcohol solvent to obtain an eluate; id) concentrating the eluate in vacuo to obtain an asiaticoside powder; ii) dissolving the powder in alcohol and crystallizing to obtain asiaticoside of at least 99% purity. 2. A method of obtaining a pharmaceutical composition containing at least 99% pure Asiaticoside along with pharmaceutically acceptable excipient (s), comprising the steps of: a) treating the ground material of the Asiaticoside source with a first solvent; b) extracting the processed ground material with a second solvent to obtain an extract or filtrate ; c) distillation and dissolution of the extract or filtrate in a third solvent to obtain a solution; d) passing the solution through adsorbents and eluting with an alcohol solution Ithel to produce an eluate; d) concentrating the eluate in vacuo to give asiaticoside powder; e) dissolving the powder in an alcohol and the crystallization to obtain asiaticoside; ii) adding a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient (s) to asiaticoside to produce a pharmaceutical composition containing at least 99% asiaticoside. 3.
