PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chocolate for coating ice cream, which hardly detaches from ice cream and to which edible materials easily attach.SOLUTION: Provided is chocolate for coating ice cream, which contains a fat which satisfying the following conditions of (a) to (e) and is used with edible materials attached thereto: (a) a content of X3 is 5 to 10 mass% (b) a mass ratio of (X3 with C42 or less)/X3 is 0.85 or more (c) a content of X2U is 30 mass% or less (d) a content of XU2+U3 is 68 to 76 mass% and (e) a mass ratio of PU2/XU2 is 0.60 or more.
