PURPOSE: A composition containing Humulus japonicus plant extract and Quercus acuta leaf extract is provided to suppress mast cell degranulation and to treat atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for treating atopic dermatitis contains Humulus japonicus plant extract and Quercus acuta extract as an active ingredient. The extract is: extract obtained by extracting with alcohol of 1-5 carbon atoms, acetone, hexane, ethyl acetate, chloroform, dichloromethane, water, or mixture solvent； extract obtained using water, ethanol, or mixture solvent thereof； extract of a fraction solvent layer obtained by fractioning the extract with water and hexane, water and dichloromethane, water and ethyl acetate, or water and butanol； or extract obtained by suspending solid extract and fractioning with hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, and butanol in order.
