Cleaning composition comprises a mixture A comprising anionic and nonionic surfactants, and a mixture B comprising fatty substances. The mixture A contains sodium lauryl ether sulfate of (2-hydroxypropyl) ammonium (monoisopropanolamine (MIPA)-laureth sulfate), a polyoxyethylenated fatty alcohol, a fatty alkanolamide, a fatty diester polyoxyethylene, and/or polyoxypropylene. The mixture B contains oil of vegetable origin and further contains at least one conditioning agent comprising an N-[2-(4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)ethyl]formamide compound (I). Cleaning composition comprises a mixture A comprising anionic and nonionic surfactants, and a mixture B comprising fatty substances. The mixture A is present in an amount of at least 52 wt.%, and contains sodium lauryl ether sulfate of (2-hydroxypropyl) ammonium (monoisopropanolamine (MIPA)-laureth sulfate), a polyoxyethylenated fatty alcohol, a fatty alkanolamide, a fatty diester polyoxyethylene, and/or polyoxypropylene. The mixture B is present in an amount of at least 50 wt.%, contains oil of vegetable origin and further contains at least one conditioning agent comprising an N-[2-(4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)ethyl]formamide compound of formula (I). An independent claim is included for cleaning and caring hair and/or scalp, comprising: either (a) applying the composition on the hair and/or scalp, before being wet or moistened with water, (b) massaging the hair and/or scalp to form foam, and (c) removing the formed foam and the dirt residues initially present on the hair and/or scalp by rinsing with water； or coating the hair and/or scalp with the composition, moistening the scalp hair using water, and the steps (a)-(c) as above per se.
