PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate positioning of an imaging part and the center of a magnetic field even when using a plurality of coils as a coil for receiving magnetic resonance signals.SOLUTION: In this magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, each of buttons 50a-50d provided in a plurality of sections 40a-40d included in a receiving coil 8 receives from an operator a selecting operation for selecting a section in which the button itself is provided.
