PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an absorbent article capable of obtaining high-quality absorbent article having a body part and an extension part extending from an edge part of the body part outward bonded to hot-melt adhesive with moderate connecting force on the extension part.SOLUTION: The production method of an absorbent article includes: an extension part folding step, wherein a production intermediate 10 of a sanitary napkin is conveyed and a skin opposite surface (surface sheet 2) of a body part 5 of the production intermediate 10 under conveyance is in a proximate and opposite state to a body protection member 20, an extension part 6 is folded back on the skin opposite surface side of the body part 5, and positions the body protection member 20 between the folded extension part 6 and the body part 5 an adhesive arrangement step, wherein the body protection member 20 is positioned between the folded extension part 6 and the body part 5, in such state, a peeling sheet 11 on which adhesive 7 is provided on one surface thereof is bonded to a non-skin opposite surface 6b of the extension part 6 via the adhesive 7 and a heating step of heating the adhesive 7 with the peeling sheet 11.
