A system and method for producing and dispensing N 2 or N 2 / CO 2 gas injection cooled beverages is provided. Gas infused beverages are obtained by mixing the beverage concentrate with N 2 or N 2 / CO 2 gas feed under positive pressure and dispensing the prepared beverage through a slow-pour fingert. The beverage may be any non-carbonated liquid, and in one embodiment the beverage is coffee. The dispensed N 2 or N 2 / CO 2 gas injection cooled coffee has distinctive appearance and improved flavor and aroma.
