PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a &beta-glucan-containing composition which does not produce an aggregate when it is blended with a cosmetic, exhibits good protective colloid properties to improve stability, and can give good use feeling.
SOLUTION: The &beta-glucan-containing composition is prepared by dispersing an organic solvent precipitate of black yeast (Aureobasidiumpullulans) culture solution in polyhydric alcohol and does not substantially contain water. There is also provided cosmetic prepared by blending the &beta-glucan-containing composition.
