PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater body motion detector which has a simple structure, can be manufactured at low cost, and can accurately measure a quantity of motions of various kinds of exercises in water regardless of the surrounding environment.SOLUTION: An underwater body motion detector 1 comprises: an electric contact part including a first terminal 4 and a second terminal 6 provided at positions spaced from each other a reception part for receiving a connection state of the electric contact part calculation means for calculating a signal received by the reception part a display part 10 for displaying a calculation result by the calculation means and an electric power source. The underwater body motion detector 1 has a mechanism in which the first terminal 4 and the second terminal 6 are electrically conducted when the electric contact part is submerged and electrically isolated when the electric contact part emerges from water.
