PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type diaper which has preferable fitting property in the vicinity of leg-surrounding opening parts and which facilitates determination of a front side and a back side of the diaper.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises: an absorbent body 10 leg gathering parts 20 and belt parts 30. The leg gathering parts are arranged on both sides of the absorbent body in a lateral direction. The belt parts are arranged so as to overlap a part of the absorbent body and the leg gathering parts in a thickness direction. A pair of leg-surrounding opening parts HL are formed by notches 35, 25 provided on at least ones of the belt parts and leg gathering parts. The respective belt parts are jointed to the absorbent body and leg gathering parts at joint parts WL1, WL2 inclined to outside of a lateral direction from both end parts of a longitudinal direction toward the leg-surrounding opening parts.
