Disclosed is a veterinarily or pharmaceutically acceptable formulation comprising an injectable suspension of between about 0.01% to about 10% w/v ceftiofur and at least one flocculating agent or resuspendability enhancer, wherein the at least one flocculating agent or resuspendability enhancer comprises benzyl alcohol. Further disclosed is a veterinarily or pharmaceutically acceptable formulation comprising an effective amount of ceftiofur and ketoprofen in combination with a flocculating agent or resuspendability enhancer, wherein the flocculating agent is benzyl alcohol and wherein the formulation further comprises propylene glycol.
