PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin capable of suppressing the decline of the absorption speed of body fluid and demonstrating excellent fluid absorptivity.
SOLUTION: The sanitary napkin 1 includes, on its skin contact surface, first groove parts 91 formed in an area close to middle and high parts 41 and 42 in a longitudinal direction of the napkin, second groove parts 92 formed in an area close to the middle and high parts 41 and 42 in a width direction of the napkin, and a third groove part 93 not formed in an area close to the middle and high parts 41 and 42. The surface of sidewall parts 96 and 98 in the first groove part 91 includes a part formed of a surface sheet 2 and an absorber exposed part 30 where the surface sheet 2 is not present and an absorber 4 is exposed. The surface of the sidewall parts 96 and 98 and bottom wall parts 94 and 95 in the second groove part 92 and the third groove part 93 respectively does not practically have the absorber exposed part 30 and practically includes only the surface sheet 2.
