PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a riding type seedling transplanter capable of solving such problems that conventional machines have defects with respect to turning operability, because an operator is forced to carry out an on-off operation for driving a work unit and a raising or lowering operation of the work unit other than a turning and steering operation of a machine body, when the conventional machine is turned, and therefore the operator can not concentrate on a steering operation.SOLUTION: The riding type seedling transplanter provided with a vertically movable seedling transplanting device 3 on a traveling vehicle 1 provided with a left and right front wheels 6 for steering, wherein the transplanter is provided with a control device 170 which out puts an order for increasing the raising rate of the transplanting device 3, when the forward traveling speed of the body is over the predetermined speed or the right and left front wheels 6 are operated in a steering speed over a predetermined steering speed, when the transplanter is operated in an automatic turning mode in which the control unit out puts an order to raise the transplanting device 3 when the right and left front wheels 6 are operated to be steered over a predetermined angle, and out puts an order to descend the transplanting device 3 according to the travel distance calculated with a travel distance calculating means.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】旋回時に、操縦者は機体の旋回操向操作以外に、作業装置の駆動の入り切り操作や作業装置の上昇・下降操作をしなければならず、旋回時の操向操作に専念できず、旋回操作性の点において課題があった。【解決手段】操向用の左右前輪6を設けた走行車両1に苗移植作業装置3を昇降自在に装着した乗用型苗移植機において、左右前輪6を所定角度以上に操向操作すると苗移植作業装置3を上昇させる指令を出力して苗移植作業装置3を上昇させ、且つ、走行距離算出手段にて走行距離を算出して、該走行距離に応じて苗移植作業装置3が下降する指令を出力する自動旋回モード中に、機体の前進速度が所定速度よりも速い場合または左右前輪6の操向操作速度が所定速度よりも速い場合には、上記苗移植作業装置3を上昇させる速度を速くする制御装置170を設けた乗用型苗移植機。【選択図】図8
