In packaging an absorbent article, it is intended to more easily fold an absorbent material.Namely, an absorbent article to be used in being in contact in the skin side faceto the user's body which comprises the main body of the absorbent article,an absorbent material being provided in the main body of the absorbent articleand comprising absorbent fibers and a high absorbent resin, and scattered parts(13) being provided in the absorbent material and consisting of the longitudinal direction,width direction and thickness direction, characterized in that the densityof the absorbent fibers is lower in the scattered parts (13) than in the parts aroundthe scattered parts (13) and the ratio by volume of the high absorbent resin ishigher in the scattered parts (13) than in the parts around the scattered parts(13), the above-described absorbent article has a folding-line for packaging, and,when the above-described absorbent article is viewed from the skin face sideas described above, the above-described scattered parts (13) overlap the folding-linein the state where the above-described longitudinal direction of the scatteredparts (13) is located along the folding-line.
