PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer capable of properly sterilizing the footwear of a hospitalized patient, without creation of extra work for the patient.SOLUTION: The sterilizer includes a footwear detector 1 which detects footwear placed on a predetermined position for removal of footwear adjacent to a bed, and a bed sensor 2 which detects the presence of a person on the bed. When the bed sensor 2 detects a person on the bed within a predetermined time after detection of the placed footwear with the footwear detector 1, a controller 5 activates a UV irradiation unit 3, so that the predetermined position for removal of footwear is exposed to UV rays with the UV irradiation unit 3. Only when not only the footwear is placed on the predetermined position, but also the patient rides on the bed after removal of the footwear on the predetermined position, the footwear is exposed to UV rays. Consequently the footwear is sterilized when the patient only rides on a bed after removal of the footwear on the predetermined position. Accordingly the footwear is properly sterilized without creation of extra work for the patient.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】患者に余計な手間をかけさせることなく、入院している患者の履物を適切に殺菌できるようにする。【解決手段】ベッド近傍の履物を脱ぐ所定の位置に履物が置かれていることを検出する履物検出部1と、ベッド上に人が居ることを検出するベッドセンサー2とを備え、履物検出部1にて履物が置かれていることを検出してから所定時間内にベッドセンサー2にてベッド上の人を検出した場合に、制御部5が紫外線照射部3を動作させ、紫外線照射部3が履物を脱ぐ所定の位置に対して紫外線を照射するようにしている。これにより、履物を所定の位置に置くだけではなく、履物を所定の位置に置いた後で、履物を履いていた患者がベッドに乗った場合にのみ紫外線が履物に照射されるので、患者は、履物を所定の位置で脱いでベッドに乗るだけで履物の殺菌が行われる。従って、患者に余計な手間をかけさせることなく、履物を適切に殺菌することができる。【選択図】図1
