Device for inserting and positioning cuff integrated laryngeal mask to patient to check upper airway in e.g. anaesthesia field, has pull back sheath wrapping mask while performing conformation of cuff maintained at environmental pressure
The device has an elastic flexible pull back sheath (8) at a distal end, where the sheath wraps a laryngeal mask while carrying out a particular conformation of a small cuff maintained at environmental pressure by temporary blocking of one-way valve. The sheath includes a continuous tubular hollow structure folded at an end or introverted in thimble so as to define concentric circular layers e.g. internal layer (9) and external layer (10), sliding with respect to each other. An elastic structure (11) in form of elastic ring is located between the two layers at the end of the sheath.L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de faciliter l'insertion d'un masque laryngé chez un patient et d'éviter son mauvais positionnement. Il est constitué d'une gaine retroussable souple (8, 9,10), invaginée en « doigt de gant » à son extrémité inférieure (10), définissant deux feuillets (8,9), enveloppant un masque laryngé en réalisant une conformation particulière (12) de son ballonnet. Une structure élastique (11) est localisée entre les deux feuillets (8, 9) en regard du ballonnet. Le masque laryngé est inséré enveloppé par le dispositif selon l'invention. Arrivé en butée, l'opérateur tire sur le feuillet extérieur (8) de la gaine : cette traction (flèche) entraine son retroussage, emportant vers le haut la structure élastique (11) et permet la libération progressive du ballonnet du masque laryngé en bonne position. Le dispositif selon l'invention est particulièrement destiné à faciliter la mise en place d'un masque laryngé en anesthésie, réanimation et secours d'urgence.
