Embodiments of a retractable syringe assembly are provided that include a dualsyringebarrel configuration. One or more embodiments include reuse preventionfeatures and featuresthat prevent premature activation of the retraction mechanism. Methods foraspirating andexpelling liquid from medical devices are also provided.
