To provide a medical bed apparatus for positioning safely with easy operation.

SOLUTION: A system control apparatus 401 of an X-ray CT apparatus 1 having a bed 3 computes a body thickness and a body width of a subject 6 from a radiographed perspective image (scanogram image (sagittal image and coronal image)) or a tomographic image (axial image), and it computes a safe area where the bed 3 can be moved and displays safe area guides 81 and 82. Additionally, a specification of a center position for diagnosis is received to the perspective image 11 displayed ON the display screen by an operation of a mouse and the like and a top board 5 is moved in order to reach the specified center position for diagnosis to a photographic center. Furthermore and the system control apparatus 401 receives a specification of a photographing area of at least two directions of a body axial (z) direction and a horizontal (x) direction and or a vertical (y) direction (photographing area line 85), and the opening width of a collimator 203 is controlled in order to irradiate X rays with the irradiation width corresponding to the radiographing area.
