The present invention is a method of treating a subject suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS) or a clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) subject, which is greater than the minimum effective dose for said subject A method comprising administering laquinimod as an additional therapy for or in combination with teriflunomide is provided. The invention also provides packages and pharmaceutical compositions comprising laquinimod and greater than the minimum effective dose teriflunomide for treating a subject suffering from MS or presenting with CIS. The present invention also provides laquinimod for use as an additional therapy or in combination with a greater amount of teriflunomide than the minimum effective dose in treating subjects suffering from MS or subjects presenting with CIS.
