The invention relates to dental component, comprising a fixture engagement portion for engaging the dental component with a dental fixture adapted to be inserted into a jawbone. The dental component has an irregular shape, wherein two wall portions are asymmetrically arranged with respect to a centre plane which coincides with the extension of the centre axis of the fixture engagement portion. The invention also relates to a corresponding dental fixture and to a dental implant assembly.
