A recombinant cytotoxin is provided. The recombinant cytotoxin of the present invention comprises a cytotoxin, a penetrating peptide, and Asp-Glu-Val-Asp (DEVD) sequence inserted in the cytotoxin. The recombinant cytotoxin can induce a targeting cell into the apoptotic pathway and cleaved by the enzyme generated from apoptotic pathway. The present invention also provides a method for treating cancer, comprising administrating the recombinant cytotoxin to a subject.本發明係有關於一種重組細胞毒素蛋白，包括一細胞毒素蛋白、一細胞穿透胜肽以及一DEVD序列，其中DEVD序列鑲嵌於該細胞毒素蛋白。本發明之重組細胞毒素蛋白可誘導目標細胞自我凋亡，並且被凋亡過程中產生的酵素分解。本發明另提一種治療癌的方法，給予此重組細胞毒素蛋白至一個體。
