Methods for forming antimicrobial coatings on substrate surfaces are disclosed. The methods involve providing a mixture comprising a metal salt, a biguanide compound, and a reducing agent, wherein the mixture is free of polymeric binders and depositing the mixture onto a substrate surface, thereby forming a coated substrate surface.Linvention concerne des procédés de formation de revêtements antimicrobiens sur des surfaces de substrats.
