PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide agonists of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) for treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS).SOLUTION: A method of treating MS comprises administering a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising PPARγ agonists known as INT131 and represented by formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or isomer thereof.
