Provided is a landscape edging system comprising runs having a profilecomprising a base, front edge and, in someembodiments, a leading edge, as well as a first specialized region, andoptionally one or two additional specialized regions whichcan permit easy mowing up to the forwardmost edge of the edging, and canprevent lawn mower blade damage to the edging. In apreferred embodiment, the runs are comprised of shredded rubber.
