PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fold a part including an absorber without bending folding lines while carrying an absorbent article.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an absorbent article is provided with a folding step of folding a folding area 1b outside in a transverse direction upon a non-folding area 1a inside in the transverse direction in succession while carrying an absorbent article 1 in a carrying direction. In the absorbent article, an absorber 4 exists across the folding area and a non-folding area, and the non-folding area is mounted on a carrying surface 101a0 and is carried.
