Machine for the preliminary pruning and the vine-shoot pruning-shredding of established vines which are espalier trained on at least two wires. The invention relates to the cutting head of this preliminary pruning device, making it possible to eliminate the manual pulling of the wood attached to the wires by their tendrils, as well as their collecting or shredding. It consists of a frame 1 and of two rotors formed by the assembly comprising a shaft 4, a cutter support 6, a cutter 7, a circular-saw blade 10, which prunes the top of the vine row, and two circular-saw blades 11 which prune the sides of the row. All these are driven by the hydraulic motors 2 and 12. The counter-cutters 8 serve for shredding the pruned wood. The jack 3 serves to open the two rotors at the beginning of the row and at each trellis post. The guide 9 serves to position the second wire of the training (tying-in) and the retention arches 5 prevent the third wire from deteriorating.
