The device has an opening (6) for a cable (16), which is laid in a loop (15). Hooks are provided for holding the loop. A hollow space of a work implement (2) continuing in the opening accommodates the loop of the cable. A closing part (5) is pivoted at the hollow space and is provided with hooks such that the hooks are transferable in a movement path of the loop or are formed remote from the path. The hollow space and the closing part are arranged in a gripping part (1) of a housing (3) of the work implement.
