The present invention relates to an expandable semi-compliant device that maybe used for the treatment of diseased or injured bone tissues, and a method ofusing the same. The semi- compliant device is inserted into the interior spaceof a cancellous bone tissue, and is filled with a suitable material to provideinternal structural support to the bone. The semi-compliant device may alsoact as a carrier for medicinal, radiological, or thermal treatments of thediseased bone.
