Offenbart wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Orthese bestehend aus einem jeweils schalen- oder schellenförmigen Ober (1)- und Unterteil (3), die jeweils an die Ergonomie eines zu therapierenden Körperteils eines Patienten angepasst oder angenähert sind sowie einem das Ober- und Unterteil koppelndes Zwischenelement (7). Erfindungsgemäss werden zumindest das Ober- und/oder Unterteil der Orthese nach dem "Rapid Prototyping"-Verfahren hergestellt.
