The present invention relates to compositions, methods and materials for delivering cyclopropene or other active ingredients to plants. There is provided a composition comprising a dual encapsulated particle having a wax coating and embedded in a resin matrix. These double encapsulated particles are further coated with Pickering particles and suspended in oil. The dual encapsulated particles comprise a volatile compound (e. G., 1-MCP complex powder) as an active ingredient.
