In some embodiments, compositions and methods for treating or aesthetically treating skin conditions are disclosed herein. In certain embodiments, these compositions may utilize optically clear carriers and dissolve the hydrophilic and hydrophobic active ingredients. In one embodiment, these compositions include volatile silicones, organic alcohols, and diesters. In other embodiments, these compositions include volatile silicone, specifically-modified ethanol, and diisopropyl sebacate. In another embodiment, the volatile silicone comprises a mixture of octamethyltrisiloxane and dimethicone. In other embodiments, these compositions are used to treat skin disorders.
