A skin for reclaiming a used or protecting a new fishing lure, a double-wrapped lure, and a related method of making the lure skin, and readying it and shrink wrapping it around a fishing lure, include: (a) a shrink wrappable, paper-thin polyester sheet; (b) a design printed on the polyester sheet, the polyester sheet comprising a design-free zone along its longitudinal side edges; (c) the lure skin forming a tubular shape with open opposite ends for receiving the fishing lure, the longitudinal side edges being adhered to one another, forming a central, lower seam; and (d) between about one and about four spaced apart skin holes in the central, lower seam, each hole corresponding to a belly hook eyelet of the fishing lure.
