Compositions and methods for expressing multiple biologically active polypeptides from a single vector for the treatment of heart failure and other pathologies
The present invention provides compositions and methods useful in the treatment of diseases treatable with therapies through the introduction of multigene expression vectors. More specifically, the invention provides a vector and a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide for the treatment of heart disease, wherein the polypeptide may comprise a cytokine, a chemokine, and / or an angiogenic polypeptide, or a functional variant thereof.
