The present invention relates to an apparatus for inserting a guide wire and a control method thereof. The apparatus for inserting a guide wire into a blood vessel comprises: a photographing unit for photographing a blood vessel and a guide wire in a human body； a haptic unit for generating a tactile effect； and a control unit for controlling the photographing unit and the haptic unit. The control unit receives an image including the blood vessel and the guide wire in the human body from the photographing unit, sets a target point in the image, sets a target blood vessel vector of a branch point of the blood vessel toward the target point, and measures a guide wire vector which is an angle formed by a tip of the guide wire. When an angle between the target blood vessel vector and the guide wire vector is different from a predetermined angle, a haptic effect is generated through the haptic unit. A surgeon, who performs an operation through provision of a tactile effect to a user, can recognize vibration and more easily insert a guide wire into a target point in a blood vessel.본 발명은 가이드 와이어를 삽입하는 장치 가이드 와이어 삽입 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것으로서, 가이드 와이어를 혈관에 삽입하는 가이드 와이어 삽입 장치에 있어서, 신체 내의 상기 혈관 및 상기 가이드 와이어를 촬영하는 촬영부, 촉각 효과를 발생시키는 햅틱부, 촬영부 및 햅틱부를 제어하는 제어부를 포함하고, 제어부는 촬영부로부터 신체 내의 상기 혈관 및 상기 가이드 와이어를 포함하는 영상을 수신하고, 영상에서 목표 지점을 설정하고, 목표 지점으로 향하는 혈관의 분기점의 목표 혈관 벡터를 설정하고, 가이드 와이어의 팁이 이루는 각도인 가이드 와이어 벡터를 측정하여, 목표 혈관 벡터와 가이드 와이어 벡터 사이의 각도가 미리 설정된 각도와 상이하면 햅틱부를 통해 촉각 효과 발생시키는 가이드 와이어 삽입 장치를 제공하여, 사용자에게 촉각 효과를 제공하는 것을 통해 수술을 집도하는 의사는 진동을 인식하여 보다 용이하게 가이드 와이어를 혈관내의 목표 지점까지 삽입할 수 있는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
