A biasing assembly and a mounting bracket assembly for a conveyor, comprising: a mounting bracket for mounting the biasing assembly on a support and forming a lower link； a movable parallelogram mechanism having first and second parallel links, each of which is connected at the first end to a mounting bracket； and connecting means connected to the other end of each of the first and second links, whereby the connecting means maintains a fixed position relative to the mounting bracket when moving the first and second links； a mounting bracket node connected to the connecting means and configured to mount a conveyor thereon； while the parallelogram mechanism is movable in a substantially vertical plane, whereby the mounting bracket assembly is moved between the lowered position and the raised position. 2. The biasing unit according to claim 1, wherein the parallelogram mechanism is movable to move the mounting bracket assembly between at least two operating positions of the conveyor. The biasing assembly of claim 1, further comprising a linear actuator coupled to the mounting bracket and the parallelogram mechanism to move the parallelogram mechanism between positions. The biasing assembly according to claim 1, further comprising a hinge between the parallelogram mechanism and the mounting bracket assembly for rotating the mounting bracket assembly about a substantially vertical axis.
