The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating constipation comprising a Liriope platyphylla extract, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and cinnamon as active ingredients. According to the present invention, the complex composition containing the Liriope platyphylla extract, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and cinnamon as active ingredients increases the number of defecation and the weight of excrement； increases the moisture content in the excrement to soften the process of defecation； and increases the thickness of the mucous membrane and muscles and increases the secretion of mucus to improve the bowel function, thereby having an excellent effect on treating constipation so as to be useful for the prevention and treatment of constipation.본 발명은 맥문동 추출물, 감초 및 계피를 유효성분으로 포함하는 변비의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 맥문동 추출물, 감초 및 계피를 유효성분으로 포함하는 복합조성물은 변의 배변개수 및 중량을 증가시키고, 변 내 수분함량을 증가시켜 배변을 부드럽게 하며, 점막 및 근육의 두께를 증가시키고 점액 분비를 증가시켜 장 기능을 향상시킴으로써 변비를 개선하는 효과가 우수하므로, 변비의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
