PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new structure traveling type work chair which can sufficiently ensure a culture space in an elevated bed culture and can advantageously reduce the loads of a worker in a simple structure. SOLUTION: This traveling type work chair is characterized by assembling metal pipes 56, 58, 60, 62 laterally extendedly disposed in the base end portion of a culture frame to form rail-supporting portions 68, loading and fixing rails 70 over the rail-supporting portions 68, forming a pair of the rails 70, 70 in each work passage 16, disposing a chair 18 on a travel frame 20 having a plurality of wheels 46 to form a work chair 10, and making the wheels 46 to travel on a pair of the rails 70, 70 to move the work chair on the work passage.
