PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel enabling a target value to be set without depending on the characteristics of a fishline and the like, and capable of automatically controlling drag in both directions of tightening and loosening.SOLUTION: The fishing reel includes a drag mechanism enabling the slippage of a clutch for transmitting the rotary force in the winding direction of the fishline to a spool to be set by using a motor and/or a handle as a driving source.
