PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent for cosmetic oils, which can make cosmetic oils thicken and gel and has a wide range of cosmetic oils that can be made to gel, and to provide cosmetics which are blended with the gelling agent for cosmetic oils and excellent in transparency and sense of use.SOLUTION: The gelling agent for cosmetic oils is an ester compound obtained by reacting an ester compound, obtained by bringing dihydric alcohol and saturated dibasic acid into esterification reaction, with monovalent fatty acid and/or monovalent alcohol.
