PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter, improving the seedling transplanting work efficiency and enabling transplantation for the seedling even in a narrow space between the seedling rootstocks.SOLUTION: In this transplanter, a machine body equipped with a driving traveling wheel 2 is provided with a seedling placing table 90, a seedling taking device 43 for taking the seedling S from the seedling placing table 90 and a seedling planting device 5 adapted to receive the seedling S taken by the seedling taking device 43 and vertically reciprocate for planting the seedling in a field. The seedling taking device 43 is provided with a plurality of seedling taking claws 41L, 41R, thereby taking the plurality of seedlings S at the same time from the seedling placing table 90. A plurality of seedling storing parts 42S, 42S respectively adapted to store the seedlings taken by the plurality of seedling taking claws 41L, 41R are provided to shift in the longitudinal direction of the machine body.
