PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect proofing tool having relatively large pressing area to the inner wall surface of a draining hole in the case of inserting the tool into the hole, surely preventing the intrusion of small insects and flexibly meeting the diversified inner forms of the draining holes.SOLUTION: The insect proofing tool 18 is composed of a tubular member 20 having raised protrusions 19 on the outer circumference, an escape preventing mechanism 21 composed of a base part 22 and a variable part 23 and placed at one opening of the tubular member 20, and an action rod 24 connected to the base part 22 and inserted into the tubular member 20. When the tool is inserted into a hole, the tubular member 20 is positioned in a groove 14 of the draining hole 15 and the base part 22 and variable part 23 are protruded beyond the end opposite to the opening 16 of the groove 14 of the draining hole 15.
